Arab Health 2020: into the big, wide world

Malsfeld/Dubai – MENA stands for Middle East and North Africa and describes a healthcare market that has been experiencing rapid growth for several years now. Hardly surprising, the Arab Health fair in Dubai has developed to be one of the most important health fairs in the world, attracting over 84,000 visitors in 2019 alone. From January 27 to 30, 2020, Dr. Schumacher GmbH will again be represented with a booth and will be informing visitors about its comprehensive portfolio for surface, hand and skin disinfection as well as the automated reprocessing of instruments.

The company, which is headquartered in Malsfeld, had already focused on the patient-oriented environment at important national and international events in 2019 and will thus also put a focus on it at the Arab Health in 2020. “Our aim is to focus on the importance of hygiene measures in the patient-oriented environment. You will know, as soon as you look at the current rates of nosocomial infections, which were published by the Robert Koch Institute or the WHO, in which situation it is actually necessary to attack the risk of infection,” says Managing Director Jens Schumacher. For Germany, the proportion of patients who infected themselves with a nosocomial infection during a stay in a hospital or a nursing facility is around 3.6 percent, which is below the EU average of 5.5 percent, according to a Study which was published by the Robert Koch Institute in spring 2019. I Southeast Asia, however, recent studies show that the rate is almost three times as high at around 9 percent.

In order to reduce the risk of nosocomial infections, it is of great importance to appropriately apply effective disinfectants which perfectly suit the respective field of implication based on the individual compositions of their components. With DESCOSEPT SENSITIVE and ASEPTOMAN, Dr. Schumacher GmbH has established two product families for the disinfection of surfaces and hands that are particularly suitable for use in the environment close to patients due to their broad spectrum of action and their good compatibility. Additionally, Dr. Schumacher GmbH presents the THERMOSHIELD product family for the automated reprocessing of instruments. As a full-service provider for disinfection products, the family-owned company considers this as an opportunity to support users in comprehensive disinfection measures in outpatient and inpatient medical as well as nursing facilities and to also provide them with safe and above all user-friendly products. “The Arab Health definitely is the right place to establish these product families on a global level. We have to focus on the exchange with users and other companies, because, after all, geographical and cultural differences also pose different challenges to us which go far beyond simply being language barriers,” Schumacher adds.

The Dr. Schumacher experts will be present at booth Z6.J10 from 27 to 30 January.
