Work together – celebrate together

Dr. Schumacher GmbH has successfully been operating in the market for 40 years. In order to celebrate this event, the management invited all employees from Germany and Poland to an anniversary celebration in the hotel Gołębiewski in Karpacz, Poland.

When Dr. Henning Schumacher founded the company in 1978 in Melsungen, North Hesse, he probably had no idea of the fast and extremely successful development the company has experienced to today. Both his sons, Dierk and Jens Schumacher, who joined the family business in 1992 and 1998, today together manage the company with Dr. Klaus Ruhnau and are justifiably proud of their father’s pioneering achievement. Dr. Schumacher today employs around 1,850 people all over the world – the majority of whom work at the two production sites in Malsfeld-Beiseförth and Lubań – and is successfully operating in both the medical and non-medical sectors.

The imposing atmosphere of the hotel Gołębiewski offered the perfect setting for the successful anniversary celebration and invited around 1,100 employees to spend some pleasant hours together. After a short review of the company's development and an outlook on future plans, a festive tribute was paid to long-standing Polish employees who had accompanied and supported the establishment and expansion of the production site at Lubań.
